2008 August > BMO Supports CT Scanner Campaign As part of their 5 year plan to contribute $37,500 to the CT Scanner Campaign, the Bank of Montreal Milton Branches presented their second installment to the Milton District Hospital Foundation totaling $7500. CT (Computed Tomography) uses special x-ray equipment to obtain image data from different angles around the body. Through computer processing it reconstructs these ‘slices’ into multidimensional pictures of the scanned area. Radiologists or technologists can easily manipulate images and instantaneously zero in on any area no matter how large or small. The need for this equipment is great with more than 2900 Milton Residents requiring a CT scan each year.
