2008 August > Golfing 4 Cancer It was a beautiful day and an even better fundraiser. This was the 15th annual "Golfing 4 Cancer" event. This year the event was held at the Granite Ridge Golf Course for the first time allowing a full tournament shot gun start. In past years the start was in two waves but organizers decided this year that this was a better way to run the tournament thus allowing all the golfers to arrive at the dinner at the same time. The dinner was held at Thompson Arena. What other golf tournament needs a arena floor to hold all the guests and golfers! NHL greats Gerry Cheevers and Peter Mahovlich were on hand along with Harry Howell and Milton’s own Enio (Foster Hewitt dubbed Jim Enio) Sclisizzi. Congratulations to all the organizing committee for an outstanding event from SNAP Milton.
