Breakfast Television live from Troy's & Best Western
Troy's Toy Drive, in its inaugural year, raised over $30,000 worth of toys, food and gifts. Benefactors included The Salvation Army, Sick Kids Hospital and Halton Women's Place. Troy collaborated with wrestling legends Tiger Ali Singh and Tiger Jeet Singh to create an unstoppable momentum. CityTV's Breakfast Television star Jennifer Valentyne broadcast live from Troy's Restaurant at the Best Western Milton Inn on Chisholm Drive.
Hockey dad Walter Gretzky was on hand to sign autographs whilst Olympic Torchbearer Kevin DiGuiseppe offered visitors to hold the torch for photos. A police escort guided a procession of toy laden trucks, trailers, limousines and rental vans with the Fire Department's incident van bringing up the rear. Santa Claus had a sweet ride courtesy of Memory Lane Limousine as the entourage made its way up Main Street to the Salvation Army's Nippissing Road warehouse. Milton truly showed its true generosity in its support of this event with toys still being delivered to Troy's long after the event was over. Thank you Milton. Having completely filled the Salvation Army warehouse Troy's trailer made its way to the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) where it was met by the Minister for Government Services.
