Jazz at the Museum
The warmth and ambiance of the Halton Region Museum's Hearth Room was the perfect venue to begin the 2010 monthly jazz concert series. The first featured artists of the season were the Hot Jazz String Quartet, starring violinist Drew, and guitarists Jesse and Chris, who played a selection of gypsy jazz. The audience, some new to the concert series, some regulars, were thoroughly entertained by these talented young musicians. The concert was sponsored by Cameron's Brewing Co. of Oakville, "beer artisans" who use traditional brewing practices and all natural ingredients to brew exceptional beers. There is a series of five jazz concerts arranged for the second Sunday of every month, ending in May. All concerts start at 2pm and tickets are available at the door on a first come, first served basis for $20.00 each. A cash bar is available and complimentary light snacks will be served. It's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon so why not check out the next concert at www.halton.ca/museum or call 905 875 2200 ext 27.
