Curling for CLNH
The Milton Curling Club was delighted to host the 1st Annual Curling bonspiel to support the recreation and leisure programs of Community Living North Halton. CLNH offers assistance to children and adults with special needs to maximize their quality of life within the community. Organiser Pat Hall said she was thrilled with the response from the community. "When people heard what we were doing they couldn't wait to help", she said. There was a friendly competitive spirit amongst the sixteen sponsored teams who curled throughout the day and a silent auction of almost 50 donated items gave everyone a chance to bid while cheering on their favourite team. The meal was provided by Community Catering, part of the CLNH program. They cater business and social events with all net profits going to CLNH leisure and recreation programs.
