Support Our Troops Day
There was something for everybody at the Support Our Troops fundraiser at the Royal Canadian Legion with a Chinese auction, meat roll, live music and a barbecue. Legion President Bob Williams was delighted with all the help and support from the local community. "It is overwhelming", he said looking at the huge number of prizes donated for the auction. In just one evening $1648 was raised and an additional $1000 was donated by Fifth Wheel Truck Stop from the sale of Support Our Troops T-shirts. Many thanks to all sponsors, donors, volunteers and everyone who made this event such a huge success.
