2010 Milton Heritage Awards
Local citizens and organizations were recognized recently at Alexander Barn, Halton Region Museum, for completing heritage related projects in Milton. The event, which is a collaboration between the Milton Historical Society and Heritage Milton, recognizes individuals or groups who have completed heritage related projects in areas such as architectural restoration, education, writing and the visual arts. Three different recipients received awards from Mayor Gord Krantz. Jim Dills and Gloria Brown received the award for their publication “Halton’s Scotch Block”. Milton District Hospital Auxiliary received the award for the Golden Anniversary Project, and Reg Cressman of Country Heritage Park was also awarded. Congratulations to all the award winners and thank you for helping to keep Milton's heritage alive!
